In which I blog about SQUEEEEEEE!

Hey there,

frecklegirl has invited you to Ravelry!

I-GOT-MY-INVITE-I-AM-SO-EXCITED-LOL!1!1!

I also managed to sign up for Secret Pal 11, though I haven’t heard back from them yet. They said within a week, so it’s not time to worry yet. I am so jealous of Elemmaciltur getting all this fab swag in the mail (have you seen the latest stuff? COVET!) and now I GET SOME TOO! HAH! Without having to start a podcast which I don’t want to do because I don’t like my voice and besides, I have nothing new to say about knitting.

I think I need to buy a new camera. Or ask Elemmaciltur for lessons or something.

So anyway. Yay!

Song du jour of the day: Congratulations by Cliff Richard! HAHAHAHAHA!

Well…because I am knitting-ignorant, I probably do not understand any of that, but I am very happy you are happy! Have fun with it!

I’ve been going back & forth, having heard Ravelry is a big time suck and I already waste so much time. But. I don’t want to be the girl sitting at home with a sad green facial and deep hair conditioning treatment while everybody else goes to the big dance. So I signed up. I expect it will be months before I get the invite…?

@Laura: Ravelry is a kind of knitters’ (and crocheters’!) networking site, where we show pictures of what we’re working on, find others with similar interests, and compare notes on books and yarns and patterns and such. And swap. And ooh and aah and generally have fun.

@Amy: I don’t know, because I can’t remember when I signed up. It seemed to take ages and I was feeling quite whiny about it, but given my general time-perception skills, I probably only waited 3 or 4 weeks.

I have the same concerns you do. Plus I can’t take good pictures. But still.

And I was your first friend. ;-)
