Uh. Sorry about that. One of the reasons I don’t write every day is that each entry takes me over an hour – and 75% of that time is spent editing. As you can see, I didn’t do that last night. Urk. And now I can’t take it down because that would feel dishonest. I’d pull a post if it upset people, but that one was just boring and trivial, and that doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to yank it.
Today I could grouse about the husband’s super high-maintenance best friend again – it’s his birthday, and I had to call and explain why I wasn’t going to go to his party (in another city, on a school night, and hello? He’s not my best friend. He’s not even my friend.) – and how, 20 minutes before time to go DrBob freaks out because Ignatz doesn’t have a present for him, and I’m all, “dude, give him a break” and DrBob’s all “you think it’s normal for a 12-year-old not to have a present for his godfather’s birthday?” and I’m like, “it’s normal for Ignatz, and why don’t you try loving the son you have?” Yes, I really did say that, but it’s okay – comments like that make a little *ping* sound as they bounce off DrBob’s forehead. Nothing can get through his Armor of (self-)Righteousness where Ignatz is concerned. And I could say how I scampered out and bought something and had it gift-wrapped and got it back to the house, all in 20 minutes because I am so awesome. But you know, all’s well that ends well, so there’s really no point in writing about it.
Meanwhile I am on tenterhooks – tenterhooks! – because a certain someone still hasn’t given out the mixmania! matches and I have this CD that needs to be sent. I can hear it now, its tinny little voice saying, “Alaaaalaaaa…. maaaaiiiillll meeeee…” But Jim’s in the middle of some blizzard or something and too busy to attend to my convenience. Drat my general insignificance.

Oh, and: yeah, El, the yarn’s kinda pricey for a whole sweater but it is just! so! fabulous! And I can probably do it with seven skeins, that won’t break the bank.
Well, 7 hanks of Wollmeise worsted-weight would cost you something that amass to about EUR 60….but like I already said, it’s worth it. :-p
